Interactive Communication
Web-based training has closed the gap between the effectiveness of classroom learning and distance learning, in large part due to the interactivity the Web affords. In addition to the increased user-material interactions provided by in-line questions, testing, animations, simulations, active images, and presentations, the SyberWorks Training Center’s communication features allow users to easily interact with each other and with instructors and SUBJECT-matter experts in asynchronous and synchronous ways.
Help Desk
The SyberWorks Help Desk is easy to use and manage, so you can be sure that your users are getting quality help in a timely fashion.
Users can:
- Hold private conversations with SUBJECT-matter experts
- Prioritize questions, so that critical issues are addressed immediately
Administrators / Reporters can:
- Monitor how quickly SUBJECT-matter experts respond to questions
- Measure user satisfaction with help desk responses

Discussion Groups
SyberWorks Discussion Groups provide asynchronous conversation areas, for interaction between users and instructors. This group dynamic can be an important element of your users’ e-Learning experience.

Messaging
SyberWorks messaging is implemented as internal email within the SyberWorks system.
Users can:
- Send a message to any user on the system
- Optionally send an email version of a message at the same time
- Give messages Special Delivery status, so they appear in a special Message Alert window
Administrators / Instructors can:
- Broadcast messages to a class, a special group of users (defined either by a list or a database query), or to an entire campus
Chat
SyberWorks Chat is synchronous, real-time communication.
Users can:
- Participate in interactive chat sessions, with no plug-ins required
- Select how often to refresh their chat windows and how many messages to view
Administrators / Instructors can:
- Post instructor "Office Hours" at specific times, so that users can get immediate answers to questions
