Mary Kay: Hi, Dave. So what is progressive discipline?
David Powell: Progressive discipline is a process for dealing with job-related behavior that does not meet expected and communicated performance standards. The primary purpose for progressive discipline is to help the employee understand that a performance problem and an opportunity for improvement exists.
Mary Kay Lofurno: Thanks for that explanation, Dave. Have a great afternoon.
David Powell: You too. Talk with you soon.
