Mary Kay Lofurno: Welcome to the next edition of the SyberWorks e-Learning Podcast Series. My name is Mary Kay Lofurno. I’m the Marketing Director here at SyberWorks and your host today. SyberWorks specializes in custom e-learning solutions, learning management systems, and custom e-learning development for corporations, governments, and non-profits.
In this edition, we’re going to be talking with Al Lemieux, Senior Designer here at SyberWorks. Al recently wrote an article, “Deploying Online Courses with Video Content,” and I thought he could share some some tips on the subject with us.

Mary Kay: Hi, Al. How have you been?
Al Lemieux: Great. How are you?
Mary Kay: Good. All right, let’s get to it. You just wrote an article on deploying video in online content and I thought you could tell us about it a little.
Al: Well, more and more, clients are coming to us to ask us about deploying video content for their course development. So I thought I would put together some tips and guidelines about doing that.
Mary Kay: OK, sounds good. So you mentioned tips. Can you give us a few?
Al: Well, one of the tips that I can give is security. Security is an issue with video content. People don’t want their courses to run away from them, so one way to secure video is by putting it on a streaming server. That way the video content never gets downloaded to the client.
