Waltham, Massachusetts – August 5, 2004

SyberWorks, a leader in custom e-Learning Solutions and the Learning Management System industry, has signed a contract with the Wellington Business School of New Zealand to offer an online international diploma program in the Fujian province of China.

Janice Feutz, Director of the Wellington Business School in New Zealand, states:

“The Wellington School of Business will be offering an online international diploma program to the Fujian province of China. Wellington Business School is working with England's Cambridge University International Diplomas Department, who has been offering International Diplomas for over 100 years. The Wellington School provides the onsite and online instructors for the program. Cambridge University academics and instructors administer the tests and grading over in England. Since the students are required to take the tests simultaneously and they are administered from London, England, we really needed a robust and flexible learning management system to handle all of our program’s requirements.”

She further states, “What really sold us on the SyberWorks learning management system was its blended and mobile learning functionality and the Chinese language pack add-on. The online program we are offering in China will also be using some local onsite instructors so we needed a learning management system that could handle online and traditional forms of training and instruction. Internet access capabilities and connection speeds vary greatly in China. The mobile learning functionality enables students to put their lessons on a CD or disc to take it with them. They can work offline and later post their work when they are able to access the system. We are offering the programs with the option to take it in English or Mandarin Chinese, so the language pack will give us the functionality we need to achieve this objective.”

David Boggs, CEO of SyberWorks, states, “Corporations and institutions need to offer their users flexibility in terms of the ways they can access their online training programs. The addition of mobile learning functionality at the beginning of last year has helped many of our clients with users in different settings and circumstances to participate in online training.”

Bob Goldschneider, Director of Business Development, says, “We are thrilled to be working with one of New Zealand’s renowned institutions of higher learning and excited about our product’s market penetration in the Oceania region of the world.”
