URAC Purchases the SyberWorks Hosted Learning Management System to Provide Healthcare Quality Accreditation Training
Waltham, Massachusetts – September 8, 2009
SyberWorks Inc., a leader in the Learning Management Systems industry, announced today that they signed an agreement with URAC for the purchase of the SyberWorks Hosted Learning Management System to provide tools for health care management companies to train employees in a way that works best for specific organizations or departments.
Amy McGonigal, Training and Development Manager for URAC, states:
“URAC is an independent, non-profit organization, which provides accreditation, measurement and education programs for healthcare organizations. We did a needs assessment and found that our client organizations wanted us to provide training that was better, faster and more economical via e-Learning. URAC also needed an improved registration system and a way for healthcare professionals and client organizations to pay for their training online. Since we still offer traditional classroom-based training, we needed a system that could administer all of our learning management requirements.”
McGonigal says, “URAC reviewed 6 different LMS vendors, but none of them had the complete feature set we needed. For example, the SyberWorks LMS e-Commerce functionality allows us to run tiered discounts, promotions and other types of programs with various payment options available.
