Mary Kay: Hi Dave, so tell us about distance education?
Dave Powell: Distance education refers to a training situation in which time, location or both separate the instructor from his or her students. Distance education does not preclude the use of traditional classrooms. It is broader than and includes e-learning.
Mary Kay: All right Dave. Give us some examples of methods that are typically used to facilitate distance learning?
Dave: Training courses can be delivered to various locations via synchronous or asynchronous learning, over one-on-one or one-on-many channels using written correspondence, text, graphic, CD-ROM exchanges, audio-video conferencing, online learning, interactive TV and fax.
