Mary Kay Lofurno: Hello, this is Mary Kay Lofurno, Marketing Director here at SyberWorks, and welcome to 77th episode of the e-Learning Lingo Podcast series.
Last week, Dave Powell talked about communities of interest. This week, Dave will discuss a term used in e-Learning theory, “self-paced learning.” So I ask you, do you know your e-Learning Lingo?

Mary Kay: OK, Dave, so what’s self-paced learning?
David Powell: In self-paced learning, the student controls their rate of progress through the learning process. The individual determines the content, learning sequence, pace of learning, and possibly even the media.
Self-paced learning isn’t always high tech, though; a simple book is a fine example.
Mary Kay Lofurno: Well, that makes a lot of sense, Dave. Thanks for that explanation. Have a great afternoon.
David Powell: You too, talk with you soon!
