Announcer: The e-Learning Lingo Podcast.

Mary Kay Lofurno: Hello, this is Mary Kay Lofurno, Marketing Director, here at SyberWorks. And welcome to the 123rd episode of the e-Learning Lingo Podcast series. Last week, Dave Powell talked about Facilitative Tools. This week, Dave defines Relay Summaries. So I ask you, do you know your e-Learning Lingo?

Mary Kay: Alright Dave, tell us about Relay Summaries.

Dave Powell: A Relay Summary is a team review activity that is usually conducted after students complete a reading assignment. The first member of the team writes a sentence recapping his or her understanding of the assignment. This sentence is passed on to another teammate, who adds his or her own sentence to the page. The process continues until everyone in the group has added at least one sentence and the summary is complete.

Mary Kay: Very interesting, Dave. Thanks, have a good afternoon.

Dave: You, too. Talk to you soon.

Mary Kay: This is Mary Kay Lofurno, Marketing Director at SyberWorks. Thanks for listening to episode 123 of the e-Learning Lingo Podcast. This week, Dave Paul talked about Relay Summaries. The Episode 123 podcast audio and transcript will be posted on the e-Learning Lingo Podcast blog. Next time on the e-Learning Lingo Podcast, we’ll talk about a tool used in student training.
