Mary Kay Lofurno: Welcome to the next edition of the SyberWorks e-learning podcast series. My name is Mary Kay Lofurno. I’m the marketing director here at SyberWorks, and I’m your host today.
SyberWorks specializes in custom e-learning solutions, learning management systems and custom e-learning development, for corporations, governments and non-profits. In this edition, we’re going to be talking with Al Lemieux, senior designer here at SyberWorks. Al recently wrote an article called “Paying Attention to Accessibility.” And I thought we would talk with him about it.

Mary Kay: Hi, Al. How have you been?
Al Lemieux: Super. How are you?
Mary Kay: I’m doing great. So, let’s get to it. Al, you recently wrote an article on accessibility as a follow-up to a previous, six-part series we did on the Americans With Disabilities Act and Section 508, and I thought you could tell us about it.
Al: The series, the podcast series, was a set-off for Section 508, in general, but a lot of things have changed since then. So, this new article is basically about those particular changes.
Mary Kay: OK, that sounds good. So, could you mention a few of the things that have changed, Al?
Al: Well, it’s a little bit more now than just alt text, and some of the other things that you need to be cognizant about. There’s more things that you need to be aware of, so the article gives more details about it.
Mary Kay: Al, this is all great information. I’m going to stop here because I know you want people to read the article. Al: Nothing, other than that it’s really important that you know these things.
